Interested in finding our more about Low Iron Glass

Low Iron Glass can also be known as optically clear glass and is manufactured from silica to have a lower iron oxide content. Traditional clear glass will have a iron oxide content of around 0.1% but with Low Iron Glass this is reduced to 0.01%. This gives an ultra clear appearance, which improves light transparency by up to 6%. Low Iron Glass is best used for display where high clarity is important. It is the clearest building material available and can be toughened or laminated for safety and security. At Jackson Joinery we use the Pilkington Optiwhite™ brand, which is available in thicknesses between 2mm and 19mm, the widest range on the market.
